4 Player Split-Screen Action Anytime, Anywhere
Indie developer VooFoo Studios has announced that the excellent top-down racer, Mantis Burn Racing, is heading to the Nintendo Switch in the form of a definitive edition.
A release date hasn’t been given except for a vague “coming soon” in the press release but the Switch version will be playable at EGX this year from September 21st to the 24th in Birmingham. The Switch definitive version will include the base game as well as the ‘Snowbound’ tracks, ‘Elite’ class vehicles and the recently released ‘Battle Cars’ DLC.
“Mantis Burn Racing’s addictive pick-up-and-play style gameplay has already been very well received on PS4, Xbox One and Steam” said Mark Williams, Technology Director at VooFoo Studios. “The game’s broad appeal and addictive couch multiplayer make it a great fit for the Nintendo audience and we can’t wait to give Switch players the chance to play the definitive version of the game at home or on the move”.
Switch players can play Mantis Burn Racing in local split-screen with 4 player support in docked and undocked modes. Up to 8 players can participate online as well.
We’re pretty excited about this news and feel that top-down racing is sorely lacking on the Switch. Mantis Burn Racing has some of the smoothest controls in the business and would make a fine fit on the platform.
