The latest update for the game will drop on all platforms on Wednesday at 3 PM PST/ 6 PM EST. Rocket League publisher Psyonix revealed the update today stating, “Your feedback has been heard. Neo Tokyo is back, and we’ve redesigned it as a Standard Arena.” The map has been redesigned to remove parallel ramps on either side, while the scenery has remained untouched. This redesigned map will be available in all playlists, as well as both Competitive and Private matches. The old version of Neo Tokyo is returning as well, however it has been renamed Tokyo Underpass and will available to play offline and in private matches only. It is set to replace the existing Underpass map.

There is a new vehicle being added, and if you loved the Batmobile in the Batman v Superman DLC last year, you will love this new battle car! The new battle car, called the Mantis, is “fully customizable and has an all-new look, but it uses the same low, flat hitbox, and turn radius as the Batmobile.” The Mantis is only available inside the new Nitro Crate as a limited-drop. This new Nitro Crate will also contain limited time wheels, rocket trails, and black market customization.

Finally, Psyonix has revealed a new framework for items within the game that will be tied to the pull-back cars revealed earlier this year. These new pull-back cars are set to hit stores next month, and rare and very rare racers will have redeemable codes for in-game items.

Psyonix has promised that more changes will be available with the latest update, and that patch notes will be revealed prior to Wednesday. Keep it locked for updates as they become available.
