Veterans Team up to Share More Than Just War Stories
Mafia III is coming back with much of its New Orleans charm. This time around, the narrative thickens with a revenge story on top of a revenge story. Character John Donovan, Lincoln’s old war buddy, is back and calling you for help. And to provide a little background on the narrative, here are creators from Hangar 13:
So the main antagonist will be another Vietnam War veteran, Aldridge. Because the fighting is expected to be tougher in this new gameplay, Mafia III: Stones Unturned is also releasing new heavy weapons, turreted vehicles, sniper support, and unique rewards. Moreover, according to devs, players will be playing in new, Vietnam-like terrain: southern jungle. Probably the closest in-game experience we’ll get to the actual war.
Stones Unturned represents the second story DLC for Mafia III and will be available on May 30th; it also comes as part of the Season Pass which can be purchased for $29.99. Find it on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
Drop us a comment, Mafia players. Will you be picking up Stones Unturned?
About Mafia III
After years of combat in Vietnam, Lincoln Clay knows this truth: family isn’t who you’re born with, it’s who you die for. Now back home in New Bordeaux, Lincoln is set on escaping a criminal past. But when his surrogate family, the black mob, is betrayed and wiped out by the Italian Mafia, Lincoln builds a new family on the ashes of the old and blazes a path of military-grade revenge through those responsible. Intense gun fights, visceral hand-to-hand combat, white-knuckle driving and street smarts will all be needed. But with the right crew, tough decisions and some dirty hands, it’s possible to make it to the top of the city’s underworld.
