Xbox Marketing Manager’s Savage Response on Twitter Gets Some Traction
A couple of days ago, the specs were revealed for the newest Xbox console, Project Scorpio. Each system will have a CPU featuring eight custom x86 cores, clocked at 2.3 GHz, a custom GPU with 40 customized compute units clocked at 1172MHz, an unprecedently high clock speed for a console, and 12GB of GDDR5 RAM. Players will also have 1TB, 2.5-inch hard drive to play around with, and a 4K UHD Blue-ray Drive. Needless to say, the console will be a beast! Xbox fans and Microsoft managers are feeling pretty good about themselves right now and some of that is spilling into social media.
Yesterday, Albert Penello (Sr. Director – Product Management and Planning at Microsoft) posted a tweet answering the question if Xbox Scorpio will have a “boost mode” similar to the PS4 Pro. The Xbox Exec responded by saying “Everything will run better. We don’t need boost mode. The whole console is boost mode”
