NieR: Automata on PC in 4K Resolution Looks Absolutely Stunning

NieR: Automata on PC in 4K Resolution Looks Deadly

Last week, we published our full official written review for NieR: Automata. In it, our man Nicholas said: “Even if you haven’t touched Darkengard or NieR in the past, I can’t recommend NieR: Automata enough. It’s such an interesting meld of open RPG, twitch action, platformer, bullet hell shooter that shouldn’t be ignored by anyone. In the slew of amazing games this spring release season, it’s easy to forget about this gem because it’s a sequel. Don’t let that happen to you.” There is no denying NieR: Automata‘s graphics aren’t exactly jaw dropping but now the game has been released on PC via Steam, 4K videos have surfaced and good god, the game looks amazing.

NieR: Automata Hero

Today we have for you some 4K gameplay compliments of our friends over at DualShockers. If you’re curious to see what Yoko Taro’s sexy and charming android looks like rendered with all those pixels, below you can see a brief video. As you can see, it looks impressive.

In terms of the games story, invaders from another world attack without warning, unleashing their secret weapon: the machines. In the face of this insurmountable threat, the human race is driven from the earth and takes refuge on the moon.

The humans develop an army of android soldiers to fight back against the mechanical horde, but succeed only in slowing its advance. To break the deadlock, a new breed of android infantry is sent into the fray: the YoRHa squad.

In the forsaken wasteland below, the war between the machines and the androids rages on. A war that is soon to unveil the long-forgotten truth of this world…
