Free Watch Dogs Demo for PS4 and Xbox One
Ubisoft has announced some great news for those on the fence about Watch Dogs 2. If you aren’t sold on Watch Dogs 2 yet, no need to worry as a free demo will be available to play for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. In fact, the version for the PS4 is out now, with the Xbox One to follow next week!
In exactly one week, on January 24th, the free demo already available on the PS4 will hit the Xbox One. This demo allows players to adventure through three hours of gameplay! This includes both the co-op campaign and multiplayer. Of course the online portion of the demo requires a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold membership to play. Unfortunately for PC players there has been no mention of a Watch Dogs 2 demo for the PC.
You can download the free Watch Dogs 2 PS4 right here, or in the PlayStation Store via the PS4. It should be noted that Watch Dogs 2 is only $40 on the PS4 right now, so if you find you like the game, it is a great price to pick the full game at. As mentioned above, the Xbox One demo will be available next Tuesday, and you can find the download here at that time.
The official Ubisoft Watch Dogs 2 website mentioned that any progress from the trial will carry over to the full game, and the download for the demo will be between 25-28 GB. Fortunately the website stated that players can play before the full download is done,“You can start playing the first mission after 12 GB have downloaded.”Â
While you may be skeptical of Watch Dogs 2 following low first-week sales figures, and some content delays, it has received some fairly positive reviews. And if you don’t want to take our word for it, check out the demo for a limited time!
