Nintendo Switch Price Surfaces on Target; 15 Launch Games Listed

Nintendo Switch Price Surfaces on Target

The Nintendo Switch has been a hotbed for rumors and leaks ever since it became known Nintendo was announcing a new console. Two days ago we told you about a leaked image that shows the lineup for Nintendo Switch games at launch and into the coming months. Yesterday, a new SKU described as Nintendo N2 surfaced in Best Buy’s pricing system with a $249.99 price, and today the Nintendo Switch has appeared in the system of another big North American retailer.

Earlier today, the Nintendo Switch was added to Target’s inventory with a $299.99 price. With other retailers listing the console with between $200 and $250, there’s the chance that this price may be for one of the bundles which have been hinted at. This could also simply be a placeholder price as well. It is also noted 15 unnamed games appear on the inventory.

While there is no doubt this Nintendo Switch price could be a placeholder price, several people, including reddit user Andis1, who worked at Target in the past, mentioned that the retailer hardly uses placeholder prices. Anything is possible at this point, but this definitely deserved mention. Yesterday, several Nintendo Switch accessories started getting listed on online retailer CDON, including several editions of the Starter Kit and system cases. Additionally, it’s been revealed that GameStop stores may be getting between 20 and 30 units at launch, so we highly recommend you pre-order. Nintendo is infamous for not shipping enough hardware at launch.

The Nintendo Switch launches sometime in March in all regions. Check back with COGconnected tomorrow night as official Nintendo Switch information is released.
