Destiny Not finished This Year and Not over the Next Year

Destiny Is Not finished the Year after That Either… Probably

We’re at impending year’s end and no extra Destiny content has been announced. Seems we have no more Destiny stuff to look forward to till late 2017, with Destiny 2. So after the last major DLC, you may all be thinking that it’s over now. Well that’s where you’d be wrong.

According to Xur(kidding), Bungie recently announced that “Destiny is never finished.” How do we know? This comes directly from their weekly blog post(See source down below). And they make it rather clear:

“We have playtests of new content to share with each other. Each of us has pet projects that get some love and attention when special occasions interrupt the regular flow of development.”

Destiny is not finished

And when they say “We,” they probably mean themselves, Vicarious Visions, and Highmoon Studios. There’s alot of people working on Destiny content, when they’re not drinking eggnog. So it definitely seems possible that at any one moment someone or some branch is keeping that Destiny goodness up to date with new additions, or whatever the heck they’re doing. They’ve been incredibly hush hush about anything new, so we’ll have more time for speculation. For right now, we simply know they’re up to something other than Destiny 2, or whatever the heck it’s going to be called.

Right now, however, Destiny players have the Dawning event to enjoy. Whether or not we’ll keep getting content such as that, and/or bigger add-ons, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Destiny is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Destiny 2 is currently set for a 2017 release, and that’s all anyone knows really. For now, stay close to COGconnected. And in the meantime, feel free to lay down your comments, guardians. Happy Holidays
