Shadow of Mordor on the Pro Looks Great!
It has been awhile since we have dropped any Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor news, which is suprising given we loved the game when we reviewed it back in 2014. At the time we said: “With a brilliant blend of silky smooth yet brutal combat and some memorable stealth sequences, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor offers up some of the best open world combat we have seen in quite some time. It is not without some faults, and will frustrate many to the core, but in the end you are left with an excellent Lord of the Rings game that should please any “Mature” gamer. Today, Monolith Productions released a new trailer of its 2014 game, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor. The new video showcases the game improvements made with its new PS4 Pro support patch.
According to Monolith, the game now runs at a 4K, while retaining a seamless 30 FPS. Current owners of the Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor can now download the PS4 Pro patch for free. Check out the slick new trailer below:
The game was critically acclaimed when it was initially released. The review aggregator websites GameRankings and Metacritic gave the Microsoft Windows version a score of 84 out of 100 while the PlayStation 4 version scored 86.55 percent (based on 57 reviews).
