Ghost Recon Wildlands To Get Beta
Earlier this month we showed you some new gameplay from Ghost Recon Wildlands where you witness one of the many ways you can approach a mission. While Ghost Recon Wildlands is still a few months away, Ubisoft appears confident in the game’s potential. This following a technical test that was conducted recently. Chief Executive Officer Yves Guillemot said in today’s financial conference call: “its potential beyond its traditional audience will be very important”.
Yves Guillemot reported the following:
“We recently conducted a technical test with tens of thousand of players. It went well, and the game is on track for release next March. Wildlands will tap into a Tom Clancy community of more than twenty million registered users who have engaged with Rainbow Six Siege or the Division in the last eleven months.”
Guillemot also talked about the feedback from the tests, mentioning that the company believes that it’ll excite gamers. He also hinted to closed and open betas coming next quarter (between January and March). He said: “The feedback we got on Ghost Recon is excellent. […] What we see is that it can be a revolutionary game. To compare with The Division last year, it’s in the same trend, actually. We expect next quarter to do some open beta and closed beta that will help the players to know what the game is, and we’re very confident it will excite gamers a lot.”
We previewed the game after playing it at E3 and had this to say, “As the demo came to a close it hit me that I’d just had a really good time in a genre that I have almost dutifully avoided. Not once did I feel out of place, outsmarted or like a rookie with no idea what the hell was going on. An absolutely boggling sized map, the biggest Ubi has ever created for any open world game, and the ability to approach it all in any manner you want is appealing. Whether you want to play solo or with friends you’ re going to be able to enjoy this game even if you’re a far less tactical player like myself.”
Developed by Ubisoft Paris, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands is a military shooter set in a massive and responsive open world, entirely playable in single-player or up to four-player co-op. Players will discover Bolivia a few years from now, a country turned into a narco-state by the vicious Santa Blanca drug cartel.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands will release on March 7th for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
