FIFA 17: EA Sports Releases Second Patch Since Game Launch

FIFA 17 Patch Notes

This week EA Sports released a second update for FIFA 17 on the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. This update includes some minor game fixes to the different game modes, as well as visual and audio issues as well. As we wrote about at when the game first came out, FIFA 17 is a fantastic game, therefore this update is probably the first of a few throughout the year to ensure it stays that way.

Some of the biggest issues that were addressed with this update involved the presentation aspects of FIFA 17. This includes improvements to frame rates prior to the popular skill games and updates to player faces within the game.

Following an update released by Konami for PES 2017 in which they introduced over 30 new player models, EA Sports added more player models to FIFA 17 as well. It will be interesting to see if EA Sports will continue to release player models throughout the year in their subsequent updates in an attempt to ensure victory over Konami for the best soccer game of the year or if they will focus on fixing the content already available. One thing is for sure, EA Sports listens to their fans and works to fix all issues that arise in FIFA 17.

Below is the entire list of the fixes in update number 2 for FIFA 17.

Visual / Presentation changes:

  • Several new or updated player faces rendered for accurate character likeness.
  • General overlay adjustments.
  • Addressed an issue where the selected kit isn’t the one used in-game.
  • Addressed frame-rate issue during pre-match skill game.

Addressed the following in Pro Clubs:

  • Carrying over your Virtual Pro from FIFA 16 now correctly unlocks all passive traits.
  • An issue where players could receive excessive skill points.

In The Journey:

  • Localized audio and character speech for the following: German, French, Italian, Spanish, and Mexican Spanish.
  • Various presentation improvements.

Addressed the following in FIFA Ultimate Team:
