PlayStation VR is finally here, and it’s not too late to get one
Well, after months of hype, speculation, and excitement, the PlayStation VR headset has finally launched globally. With positive word-of-mouth and a decent price point, the wallet-friendly VR unit saw fast sell-outs of its pre-order stock early on, leaving many potential buyers out in the cold.
But now, Amazon has more PlayStation VR units in stock at $399.99, so there’s still a chance to get in on the headset if you hurry. If you are looking for the headset on its own here is the link.
Just remember, aside from the headset, special controllers and a camera will be needed for some VR games. If so, you might want to grab the PlayStation VR Bundle, which includes the VR headset, Processor unit, VR headset connection cable, HDMI cable, USB cable, Stereo headphones, AC power cord, AC adaptor, PlayStation VR Demo Disc, PlayStation Camera, 2 PlayStation Move motion controllers, and the PlayStation VR Worlds Game Disc.
If you want the PlayStation VR Bundle, you have two options: first, you can buy direct from Amazon for $499.99, but this is a back-order that will become available after October 21st. If you want one now, you have a secondary option to buy from a third-party starting at $649.99. But with that option, you get the product right away.
Lastly, you might want to consider upgrading to a PS4 Pro console if you buy the PSVR. Although Sony has assured us that the current PS4 console will work with VR, the PS4 Pro’s improved hardware will be optimized for VR games, especially future releases.
