Xbox One S Early Sales Off The Charts, Already Selling Out in The UK

Xbox One S Selling Out

Yesterday, we reported Microsoft started sending out emails to those who pre-ordered the 2TB version of its Xbox One S console, informing them that shipments have begun. The $399 version of the console should begin arriving tomorrow. If you didn’t pre-order the new console and are looking to get your hands on a shiny new Xbox One S tomorrow you may be out of luck.

Xbox One S Sold Out

Right now the 2TB version of the console is on sale in the UK, at least online anyhow. Unfortunately, online stores are already reporting that stock of the new system has sold out.

Aaron Greenberg, head of Xbox games marketing, tweeted about the sold out status of the console.

A quick look shows both GAME.co.uk and Amazon.co.uk have sold out of launch stock of the new console, with no indication if or when new stock will be available. When asked if he knew when the 500GB and 1TB Xbox One S will be out for pre-order in the UK, Greenberg further tweeted the following:

Xbox One S is the most compact Xbox yet, 40 percent smaller than the original Xbox One, and includes a built-in power supply. Xbox also shifted one of the three USB ports and the pairing button to the front of the Xbox One S alongside the newly added IR blaster for increased accessibility. Beyond the fresh new design, Xbox One S is the first and only console that allows you to watch Blu-ray movies and stream video in stunning 4K Ultra HD with High Dynamic Range (HDR).

Xbox One S also comes bundled with the new Xbox Wireless Controller featuring textured grip, improved Xbox Wireless signal and added Bluetooth support. The controller can be purchased as a standalone item for $74.99 CAD and will also be available on August 2. All Xbox One games, accessories and Xbox Live services will work with Xbox One S.
