Titanfall 2 SP Details Revealed
Back in June at E3 2016, we were able to get our hands on the much anticipated Titanfall 2. Bigger than ever before, and making its debut on the PS4, we summed up our early impressions and really noticed the improvements to the gameplay and the Titans themselves. Recently, Game Director, Steve Fukuda spoke directly on the single player campaign length saying, ” It’ll be plus or minus [eight hours], depending on how good you are or the level of difficulty you’re playing on. It’s a very solid campaign, though.” That is not it though. At Gamescom in Cologne, Titanfall 2 Art Director Joel Emslie revealed more info on the single player campaign.
According to the Art Director, even he has been surprised by how the single player turned out. He says there is “a lot of variety,” the locales are “extremely exotic.” The team had to approach very carefully to figure out how to build up the relationship with the Titan, so that he’s not a disposable character, but he becomes something you actually care about, but at the same time they wanted to keep the really high-speed parkhour with the pilots. It was a huge undertaking.
While Emslie did not give a precise duration for the campaign, he mentioned that it’s “a lot longer than people would expect.” It’s a completely separate entity from the multiplayer. Multiplayer and Single Player are also designed from completely separate teams at Respawn. They work in tandem and they feed off of each other and share ideas.
