Pokemon Go not available in your area? We’ve got the solution
In case you haven’t heard, Pokemon Go is an augmented reality game in which you capture Pokemon using your smartphone. It has already launched in places like Australia and New Zealand. But if you are still unable to get it in your part of the world, we have found a way (thanks Gamespot) to download it early and get hunt’n’.
So, here is how to get Pokemon Go on your Android right now:
- First, download the Pokemon Go APK by clicking here while using your Android device
- Make sure to go into Settings and “allow installations from unknown sources” in Settings (your device will probably prompt you to change the Settings when you download).
- Enjoy!
- If you are in North America, download the game here.
Pokemon Go is free, but it does contain microtransactions. In order to catch Pokemon, you have to actually be playing with your phone open. However, as Gamespot points out, there will soon be a peripheral accessory that will enable you to be alerted with vibrations when a Pokemon is within range, even when not playing! That accessory will apparently sell for $35.00, and is undoubtedly where the developers hope to make their money. Our guess is that a lot of players will shell out for such an add-on.
In Pokemon Go, travel between the real world and the virtual world of Pokémon on iPhone and Android devices. Discover Pokémon in a whole new world—your own. Pokémon GO is built on Niantic’s Real World Gaming Platform and will use real locations to encourage players to search far and wide in the real world to discover Pokémon. The game allows players to find and catch more than a hundred different Pokémon as they explore their surroundings.
And in case you missed it, three new Pokemon have been announced at this year’s E3 – check out all the details here.
