What would the internet and Twitter be without teases and hints at big announcements for all of us to fawn over? The internet lives on this kind of stuff and we like to bring all this teasing right to you so you don’t miss a thing.
The Mortal Kombat big boss himself, Ed Boon dropped a total teaser on us with a cryptic and completely information empty tweet.

So now what do we do? WE SPECULATE! We’ve already seen eight new characters over two Kombat packs and a ton of skins added as DLC to the original Mortal Kombat X game. We’ve seen the release of Mortal Kombat XL that packages it all up in one fantastically bloody offering. This package is available to console gamers but not to PC gamers so one obvious possibility is the announcement of a PC version of MKXL that features the second set of new characters and skins that they missed out on.
But let’s be honest, that’s a cool announcement but it’s not BIG and MIND BLOWING. What about the far reaching, wishing on a star possibilities? Perhaps a new movie or TV show is in the works? An all new Mortal Kombat game? More characters? An all new Sub-Zero solo RPG based on the trials and tribulations of the Lin Kuei! Ok, that’s a stretch but the possibilities are endless.
