As word spreads like wildfire of PlaysStation VR’s release window (October) and price ($399 US), we now know that pre-orders for the device are already set to open on Amazon – at least in the UK. Nothing has officially been announced, but Amazon UK’s website has the following line in its description:
“Note: Please be advised that PlayStation VR will go on sale at 11:00 GMT on Wednesday, 16 March, 2016. Due to limited stock we are only able to offer one unit per customer per address.”
Now, before you get excited and want to order from the Amazon site in the UK and have it shipped, be advised that it will have the UK power cord that is not the same as in North America. However, it hopefully gives us a sign that similar pre-orders will occur on the other Amazon sites as well.
The listing on Amazon UK (shown above) also shows the PlayStation VR box that purchasers can expect to receive, and it lists the accessories that will come with the headset, including:
- Processor unit
- Stereo earbuds
- HDMI cable
- USB cable
- AC adaptor and power cord
- PS VR headset connection adaptor
The caution that supplies are limited seems to indicate that they expect to get a huge volume of orders. Stay tuned here for all the latest on the PlayStation VR.
