Apparently, a lot of people love the Farming Simulator series, critics (including us) be damned.  And maybe you are one of those fans.  If you are, and you have been looking for the ultimate way to experience GIANTS Software’s Farming Simulator 2015 Gold Edition, then apparently, a company named Saitek has you covered. Their Heavy Equipment Precision Control System for Windows PC is a three-component set of realistic hardware controllers that includes a Steering Wheel, Gas and Brake Pedals, and Side Panel Control Deck with working loader stick and programmable switches that integrate with the Farming Simulator series of games, including the latest release – Farming Simulator 2015 Gold Edition. It promises to truly bring home the full farming experience – without the mud, we hope.
According to Saitek, the Farming Simulator Heavy Equipment Precision Control System was created in close collaboration with game developer GIANTS Software to make playing Farming Simulator 2015 Gold Edition the most authentic simulation gaming experience possible without buying a full-sized tractor. It is optimized to enable Farming Simulator fans to get the most out of their game, with precision controls, customizable settings and programmable buttons.
So, Farming Simulator fans, you can forget about using racing wheels to play Farming Simulator – with Saitek’s Wheel, you’ll apparently be driving your farming machinery with a properly tilted, center sprung steering wheel with 900 degrees of turning and a wheel turning knob – just like the real thing. On the wheel, a dual analog gamepad controls your movement for out-of-vehicle activities, and real buttons allow you to use your in-game PDA seamlessly. Gas and brake pedals come standard with the wheel, too.
In what the company claims is a first in simulation gaming, the Side Panel Control Deck features a Front Loader Control Stick to give you precise control of your vehicle’s front attachments and 25 fully programmable buttons for tool attach/detach, tool switching, reverse, lights, horn, cruise control, and more.
We’ve been told that the Farming Simulator 2015 Gold Edition Heavy Equipment Precision Control System will be available in North American retail stores and through Amazon starting November 9, 2015. It ships in the following configurations:
