10 Great Moments From Microsoft’s E3 2016 Press Conference

Forza Horizon 3

I’ll admit that I have definitely grown tired of Forza’s yearly cycle. After all, there’s not much innovation to be had in simulations, and Horizon 2 wasn’t a huge step up from its predecessor. I was happily surprised by Forza Horizon 3, which looks to have a more off-road focus, and is using its Australian setting to its advantage. A few parts of the gameplay demo looked straight out of Motorstorm, and I’m once again excited for a Forza title.

Scalebound

While it was disappointing that Hideki Kamiya didn’t come on stage to announce that he had blocked everyone in attendance on Twitter, gamers luckily got a pretty good consolation prize: a live gameplay demo of Scalebound. While it wasn’t the most captivating gameplay demo, it still did enough to sell me on the concept of the game, and how much fun it’ll be to team up with three other friends. 2017 can’t come soon enough!

Play Anywhere

By far the best part of Microsoft’s conference was their further commitment to PC gaming. With their Play Anywhere initiative, they’re making several key games support cross-save and cross-play between PC and consoles. That’s awesome, and more people being able to play rad video games is only a positive.
