The 10 Most Disappointing Games of 2017 So Far

2017 has so far proven to be the year gamer’s wallets die. Title after title, 2017 has been releasing heavy hitting titles across all platforms to the point its hard to keep track of which games we need to buy without making a physical reference list. With the bar being set so high from fantastic releases and captivating trailers, there are going to be a few titles that don’t live up to the expectations. We have compiled a list of 2017’s top 10 most disappointing releases so far, but keep in mind this is not a critique of the overall game, as several games on this list are held in high regard and even ranked well in our own reviews. This is a list of the games that set their own bar too high and couldn’t quite reach it.

With the year only just peeking into Q3, it will be interesting to see what comes of the next batch of highly anticipated games, especially titles like Super Mario Odyssey, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, Crackdown 3, and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, to name a few. These are all titles that have set their own bar incredibly high and we cannot wait to see what they deliver.
