Presenting the Third Robot in Overwatch’s Expanding Character Roster
So much speculation leading up to this point, fans have been swearing left and right over the new Overwatch character. Doomfist was a fan desire, nay, a necessity for the longest time. And while he is tied to the latest lore of Oladele, he is apparently not the next character. Behold OR-15 aka Orisa in the newest origin story trailer:
As you probably observed, this character’s build looks like a tank. Questions remain until gameplay is officially revealed. Leading up to this point, Blizzard has provided its share of teases. Circumventing all that Doomfist hype from Terry Crews, they revealed lore prodigy Efi Oladele. They then previewed what was to come with the airport attack report, showing off the damage wrought by Doomfist. This culminates into the latest character we see before us. Orisa follows Sombra as the latest addition to an expanding roster.
Overwatch currently has millions of online players and is considered 2016’s best multiplayer title. Moreover, the game has received numerous awards and high ratings, named Game of the Year at the 2017 DICE Awards. To put things into perspective, Blizzard is not done. Expect new events, new heroes, and more content as the game moves forward. The recent Year of the Rooster event delivered sundry new exciting rewards on its own.

FUSION DRIVER
Orisa’s automatic projectile cannon delivers sustained damage, but slows her movement while she fires it.
Orisa temporarily reduces damage she takes, and cannot be affected by action-impairing effects.
Orisa launches a graviton charge which she can detonate, slowing nearby enemies and pulling them towards the explosion.
Orisa throws out a stationary barrier that can protect her and her allies from enemy fire.
Orisa deploys a device to increase damage inflicted by allies within her line of sight.
