New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe Review
Remember the Wii U? I’m sure you do, but you might not want to. Between poor marketing for the new console and poor management of its third-party developers, the Wii U was practically dead in the water on release. You know what’s not dead in the water, though? The Nintendo Switch. Thankfully, the powers that be (Praise Thee, Nintendo) have decided that the time is ripe for a rerelease of Super Mario Bros. U as New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, finally letting it get the chance it deserves to shine on a console worthy of it.
So, what’s new from the port? Well, not much, but at least it’s fun, right? The exciting part is being able to play the tons of content on a current console. Of course, there are some issues with the game: its graphics, for example, aren’t stunning, but the overall package offers tons for people who didn’t have the opportunity to play the game the first time around on account of not wanting to purchase a Wii U. On the other hand, if you’ve bought it before, it’ll probably be old hat.
What do you think of the port? Still playing it, or have you put the controller down for something else? Let us know in the comments below!
