Why Sekiro is the Ultimate FromSoftware Experience

Whether you love or loathe the now iconic gaming style of FromSoftware, one cannot deny the beauty and grace of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Many have stated how great Sekiro is as a game – sitting around the 90 mark on Metacritic – but our own Connor Brown has stepped away from the overly analytical and critical view and taken a more valuable approach to the game – one of a fan. So sit back (beware of spoilers) and see this fantastic game through the eyes of someone who enjoys the game and explains why you too should give Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice a chance.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the latest entry in the long-running games by FromSoftware, designed to to be a skill-based challenge that rewards patience and practice. Set in feudal Japan, the game follows Wolf, the protector of the young king, as he attempts to rescue him from capture. Players will have to navigate Japan with a blend of face to face combat and stealth options befitting a shinobi with the help of a prosthetic arm capable of using a variety of upgrades and enhancements. Sekiro is a beautiful game, full of majesty and rich with both culture, history, and mythology. Introducing a new combat mechanic – posture – which helps to fantastically represent the skill and discipline of ancient and graceful sword combat.
