The Outer Worlds Video Review
We’ve been waiting patiently for this one to come along and shock us, and boy were we pleasantly surprised. Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds has been an amazing experience, garnering plenty of fantastic reviews for its spectacular writing, creative new mechanics, and freedom to do whatever you like. In fact, we were even more impressed than we thought we would be, what with the game featuring stats that feel important, a variety of soulful characters to interact with, and a plethora of fantastic guns. What more could we have to say about the game? Well check out our video review below to find out.
The Outer Worlds is a spiritual successor to the classic Fallout games, brought about by the team that lovingly crafted those phenomenal experiences. You’ll play as a survivor rescued from the stranded and long abandoned colony ship, Hope, by Phineas Welles. Phineas explains he needs the minds of the survivors on the Hope to help overthrow the corruption the board has brought to the Halcyon system, and he needs your help to bring the back. What ensues is a wild and chaotic adventure of choice and consequences. Whether you want to play as a plucky hero or simply bash in every living person you encounter with a hammer, there is something for everyone here and the end result is a beautiful and satisfying space adventure that will never play out the same way twice.
The Outer Worlds is set for release on October 25th and will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One as well as FREE on Game Pass. It’s also been announced it will be coming to Nintendo Switch, yet no date has been given yet. For more information on the game, check out the official website.
