Mortal Kombat 11 takes its first steps in evolving the franchise in a new way without alienating longtime fans or changing what the franchise is at its core. Following the events of MK X, Kronika – the titan and weaver of time – is angered by the meddling of Raiden on his quest to protect Earthrealm by any means necessary, actions which have lead to terrible changes in her plans for the universe. She sets out on a quest to restart time and undo the god of lightning and its up to Earthrealm’s heroes to stop her. The game’s story mode is a seamless action movie that effortlessly blends into combat, telling arguably one of the coolest stories in the franchise to date. MK 11 also features all new RPG elements such as a plethora of customization options and loadouts for each fighter and a large interactive Krypt for unlocking gear and solving puzzles to advance.
