Marvel’s Avengers Beta – All Heroes Gameplay and Cosmetics
Marvel has clearly risen to prominence in the last several years thanks to the MCU and their focus on the iconic superhero team The Avengers. Brought to life as a team of unique and complex people from all walks of life, The Avengers quickly became a household name and will no doubt be an iconic franchise for decades to come. With a lull between the beloved films, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics announced their upcoming Avengers video game which was met with resounding enthusiasm despite some questionable objections to the characters’ appearance. Fast forward to being less than a month from release and Sony has offered the chance for players to test out the mechanics in beta and the reaction has been… well, decidedly mixed. Of course the best option for gamers is to see what they think for themselves, so we present to you just a snippet of our time with the game hands on, checking out each of the beta’s playable characters in action as well as looking at some of the unlockable cosmetic options you’ll see when the game launches. Marvel’s Avengers will see the eponymous team in a brand new adventure facing off against one of their most challenging missions yet. After an unfortunate and terrible incident at the start of the game, The Avengers are forced to disband and go their separate ways. Up and coming hero – and enthusiastic Avengers fan – Kamala Khan seeks out the Avengers to bring the team back together once more to thwart the incoming threat of AIM and M.O.D.O.K.
Marvel’s Avengers is a third person RPG set to play both single player or in co-op with teams of four players. It was recently announced that Hawkeye would be added as a playable character post-launch for free, and that Spider-Man would be coming to the game as well exclusive to the PlayStation 4/5. With the possibility of continually adding Avengers to the game, we put together a list of potential Avengers we would love to see make their way into the roster.
