Let’s Talk About The Last of Us Part 2… Again

Let’s be honest: right now the game on everyone’s mind is The Last of Us Part 2, hands down. The groundbreaking and critically acclaimed game from seven years ago finally has its sequel and it has absolutely lived up to all the hype, all the expectation, and even surpassed our hopes and dreams. We talked about it before on Press X To Podcast and you can be sure we had to keep talking about it now that we are just a week away from launch. Paul Sullivan, James Paley, and Rhett Waselenchuk weigh in on The Last of Us Part 2 and its well worth a listen, HOWEVER, beware of spoilers which may come up. You have been warned!

The Last of Us Part 2 is the long anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed 2013 survival stealth game that arguably redefined the potential for survival games with a strong, potent narrative voice. Taking place five years after the events of the previous game, you’ll take on the role of Ellie as she bands together with other survivors in the post-apocalypse. Humanity has been reduced to remote pockets of survivors due to the horrific Cordyceps fungus which has mutated its victims into zombie-like creatures, but now there are religious fanatics to contend with. The game combines brutal and gritty combat with moments of tender humanity to show the true duality of the story.
