Game of the Year Awards 2019: Best Surprise
Excitement fills the air with an electric buzz when a new AAA game has been announced – or better yet, released – in anticipation of the latest big budget experience. These are the sequels and franchises we have been dying to play and known about for months ahead of time, eagerly researching every small nugget of information we can find to be prepared for the day it is finally in our hands. On the other hand, indie developers are often releasing innovative and explosive games we didn’t know we wanted until the trailer finally drops on launch day, leaving us in surprise and shock at the incredible new experience at our fingertips. These are the nominees for the Best Surprise of 2019, the games which seemingly appeared out of nowhere and proved to be absolutely amazing. Beware of spoilers in the video below.
Weird physics engines, being a nuisance, or simply rallying together on a wild and crazy journey. These games deliver something special we haven’t seen before and didn’t know were on the horizon. We were thrilled to play them and cannot stress enough how great these games are. Each and every one deserves your attention and there is definitely something here for every kind of gamer. You owe it to yourself to discover these amazing games.
