The First 25 Minutes of Control Gameplay
Control has been one of those games that looks incredibly beautiful but has left us hanging on what the game actually is and what we can expect from it. When gameplay footage was released, we saw a mind-bending piece of interactive art that promised us an experience like no other and the excitement for this surreal journey has only been growing. With the game finally released (and our full, spoiler-free review available for you here) we thought you, our discerning viewers, should get a chance to walk in the shoes of Jesse Faden, Director of the Federal Bureau of Control. Witness the first 25 minutes of the game and see what the game has in store.
Set in a secret government branch, you’ll take on the role of Jesse Faden; the newly appointed Director of the FBC’s paranormal New York branch. The FBC has been infiltrated by a hostile alien force known as the Hiss, and it’s up to the Director with her new abilities to defending against this oppressive enemy that seeks to alter reality. The game is not a typical shoot-em up action experience, but rather encourages thoughtful planning, strategy, and many aspects we have grown to know and love from the Metroidvania style of gameplay. You’ll upgrade weapons and powers, solve puzzles, and use devastating abilities to save the world as the Oldest House – your base of operations – is constantly having its own reality shift around you. With beautiful lighting and atmospheric stages, this neo-noir experience is a dream come true.
Control is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. For more information, check out the game’s official website.
