Destiny 2 Video Review
Polish up that pulse rifle and give your Ghost a friendly pat on the head, it’s time to get back into the action with Destiny. With so much anticipation and a fervorous fan base since the initial announcement trailer, its fair to say Destiny 2 had a lot to live up to. I am happy to say Bungie listened closely to the fans and has produced exactly what loyal Guardians were hoping the original game would be. While the original game felt stale to some as time went on between expansions, Destiny 2 is already greater than the sum of its predecessor’s parts, and has reignited the flame that Bungie games undoubtedly set ablaze. Make some popcorn and settle in to watch our video review, but try not to get too lost in the footage.
Destiny 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to Bungie’s first major project following the Halo series. Players will control a Titan, Hunter, or Warlock class Guardian as the action begins immediately, with the Cabal laying siege to the Tower. The Red Legion, led by Dominus Ghaul, seeks to earn the Light from the Traveler – through force if necessary. Destiny 2 has a rich, cinematic-style narrative that introduces new characters, and facets of the world around them. It also vastly improves upon gameplay with open worlds, a revamped map menu, the all-new Lost Sector mini-dungeons, and a whole host of all new and upgraded multiplayer options.
Destiny 2 has already been breaking records including the best-selling day one game on the PSN in history, debuting at the top of the Japanese sales charts, and the biggest launch week of any console game this year with over one million players for eight consecutive days. With the overwhelmingly positive response to our latest adventure as Guardians, it’s safe to say Destiny 2 has set a new benchmark in video games.
Destiny 2 is out now on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and will be available on PC October 24.
