Death Stranding Video Review – Kojima Unchained

Death Stranding Video Review

Arguably the most highly anticipated game of the year is finally here, and in true Kojima fashion we are left with an unexpected journey like no other full of deep, philosophical thoughts, unique gameplay mechanics, and an unparalleled narrative like nothing we have seen before. This is all par for the course when it comes to the legendary Hideo Kojima, but while this certainly lives up to our expectations of content, whether or not this is a game for everyone seems to be the biggest question on everyone’s mind. The gaming community has proven rather divided on whether this Death Stranding is worth playing, but for more on our thoughts you should watch our complete video review of the game below. Enjoy.

Created by the legendary Hideo Kojima, Death Stranding is a third person exploration experience which Kojima himself defines as a new type of action game. Players take on the role of Sam Porter Bridges – played by Norman Reedus – as something of a delivery man between settlements, helping bridge the connections between a broken society. The game also features a number of unique and surreal, otherworldly aspects such as rain which can age and deteriorate whatever it touches as well as the strange alien entities seen in the later trailers for the game. Fan reaction has been mixed as some feel it is a glorified walking simulator and others feel it is a complex narrative and commentary on humanity and society.
