Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a soft reboot of the series within the Call of Duty franchise. Set in the modern day, the game focuses on a more realistic approach to gunplay and warfare with a heavy emphasis on consequences for the decisions and actions you take. The game will also see the return of a single player campaign to flush out these new features, and Activision has removed the season pass option in favor of offering players all future content as free updates. This comes as a welcome change of pace for what is otherwise considered in the past to be predatory microtransactions, a hot button issue in the gaming industry.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set for release on October 25 and will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. For more information check out the game’s official website.
