Assassin’s Creed Origins Video Review
2017 has been a year of explosive titles, but none so highly anticipated as the next page of the Assassin’s Creed story. Ever since the potential tease of the Assassins in Egypt way back during Black Flag, the idea of running around in ancient times has sat at the back of our minds as a curious spark which was finally able to ignite. Assassin’s Creed Origins has been considered by many to be the turning point in the series, with many feeling that Black Flag was the last excellent entry and that Origins would have to be the one to turn it around and restore what it meant to be an Assassin. Was it able to change the way people think? Was the newly reinvigorated series exactly what the gaming community wanted? Check out our video review below and find out.
Assassin’s Creed Origins takes gamers back to the beginning of the Assassins Brotherhood and the original Assassin, Bayek. Bayek is a Medjay: an ancient elite police force that protected the Pharaoh’s interests, and one of the most unique Assassins we have met to date. Origins has a fully revamped combat system which ushers in new weapons to capitalize against an enemies weakness, as well as a reworked and much improved ranged combat system.
The game also features a loot system, various tiers of gear, and several customization options for Bayek’s appearance. The Eagle Vision from previous games has been replaced with Bayeks symbiotic eagle Senu, who Bayek is about to see through his eyes and scout out enemies and crafting materials.
Assassin’s Creed Origins is out now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. For more information, check out the games official website.
