Fighting a Bear and Questing in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey at E3 2018
After such a monumental success with the re-imagining of the Assassin’s Creed series in Origins, we knew it wouldn’t be too long before Ubisoft needed to prove that it wasn’t a fluke. Although it leaked shortly before the E3 announcement, Ubisoft is looking to deliver on its new direction for the series and then some with the latest entry: Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Keeping the ancient setting – and hopefully none of the current day stuff – players are going to be treated to one hell of a gorgeous time in Greece. We went hands-on with the game at E3 and wanted to show you not one but two clips of our time exploring as the new hero, Kassandra. The first video will show off some of the lush and magnificent scenery that awaits you, as well as fighting a legendary bear, and some basic combat. Check it out below.
And following that, Kassandra encounters the one and only Socrates (spelled in the more Greek Sokrates) where the two have a battle of wits before – and after – a rescue mission. Check it out below.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is the latest entry in the popular alternate history/stealth franchise. Set during the Peloponnesian War, players will have the option to play as either a male or female protagonist for the first time in the series – Alexios or Kassandra. Exploring the isles of Ancient Greece, you’ll play the descendant of the legendary Spartan King Leonidas, brandishing his broken spear in your left hand. Expect the usual Assassin’s Creed elements and the phenomenal new overhaul that was set out for the series by Origins.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is set for release on October 5, and will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. For more information, check out the game’s official website.
