8 Awesome Features in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
After a long time of feeling a bit stale in its yearly releases, Ubisoft took the time to start building a new direction for the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Starting with last years Origins, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is the first complete step into RPG territory for the series and it’s the kind of game that will pull you in and take over your life. With the familiar parkour and stealth actions still in tact, Odyssey borrows a few ideas from other franchises and expertly puts them together to create a very solid and authentic Spartan experience. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is the first full step for the franchise into being a full fledged RPG. Taking place during the time of the Peloponnesian war, players will control either Alexios or Kassandra – the grandchild of King Leonidas – and fight as a mercenary on either side of the war between the Spartans and Athenians. With a revamped loot and gear system, smooth naval combat, and a host of new features and abilities, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey feels much more narrative heavy which is an absolute treat given its Ancient Greek nature – arguably the birthplace of fantastic storytelling.
