The final part to an epic trilogy, Halo 3 had it all. From single player to multiplayer, from hidden skulls to party popping Grunt heads. One of my personal favorite first-person shooters of all time Halo 3 may not have been relatively innovative, but represented the best of Xbox at the time.

For all of the Wii’s quirks and shortcomings, it’s quite fitting that it’s swan song is one that demonstrates that motion controls can actually work outside of the party game phenomena. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword proves that Nintendo was on to something with the Wii, and that the controls, for the most part, can translate and even enhance a big, sprawling adventure like The Legend of Zelda. It’s also a ton of fun to play and shook up the classic Zelda formula in some interesting new ways.
Ahmed Mohamed (Contributor) –Â Heavy Rain
There are a few games on my list that are unique gaming experiences, a la LittleBigPlanet, that get everything right. Heavy Rain’s emotional story and interactive drama nature come together to create a game unlike any other and is the type of experience this generation is sorely missing.
