Shawn Petraschuk (Executive Editor) – Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

If you can’t tell by now I have an affinity for games that were underappreciated. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning was a captivating and well fleshed out game that unfortunately just didn’t sell well enough to ever get a sequel. In fact, it did poorly enough that it caused Curt Schilling’s company, 38 Studios to fold and go bankrupt. A damn shame considering that the world of KoA was well worth checking out. Graphically beautiful containing a vibrant RPG world and fantastic gameplay, it’s too bad we’ll probably never see anything again from this IP.

Trevor Houston (Executive Editor) – The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series

Games like The Last of Us, and Telltale’s The Walking Dead series started a shift for me several years ago. While I still enjoy the odd mindless shooter, story driven games have slowly become my go to gaming experiences. Like a good TV show or movie, a story driven game sucks you in and Telltale’s Walking Dead game did just that for me.

Paul Sullivan (Content and Video Editor) – The Last of Us

Naughty Dog’s best game ever. Joel and Ellie were captivating, and the world they lovingly constructed was a nightmarish joy to experience.
