Twin Mirror – PC, PS4, X1 – Dec 1
Best known for its work with the Life is Strange series and Vampyr, Dontnod Entertainment is doing things just a bit differently this time around. As a narrative adventure game, Twin Mirror deviates from the typical formula that Dontnod employs for these games, opting not to release in an episodic format. This intriguing narrative title focuses on an investigative journalist, featuring an inner voice that may affect gameplay, as well as multiple endings. With Dontnod Entertainment’s track record with narrative-based games, we are definitely looking forward to Twin Mirror.
Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 – PC, PS4, PS5, X1, XSX – Dec 9
Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is the sequel to Puyo Puyo Tetris, now making it a series that combines both Puyo Puyo and Tetris together. Players can play these games individually or mix them together in a variety of modes both online and off. The game also features different characters to choose from, an adventure mode, and more. While puzzle games of this type are now few and far between, Puyo Puyo Tetris has done a good job in blending two traditional games into a newer experience.
Cyberpunk 2077 – PC, PS4, X1 – Dec 10
The biggest game of December 2020 at this point, Cyberpunk 2077 has had a relatively long, delayed road to release. While the delays have disappointed some, we are excited to jump into a Cyberpunk 2077 that is polished and ready for release. Not a lot needs to be said about the title which is developed by CD Projekt Red (of The Witcher games fame), features Keanu Reeves, and looks to hit all the right spots both aesthetically and gameplay wise. We expect Cyberpunk 2077 to be one of the most impressive games of the year, despite its next-gen version not releasing until 2021.
