3. Sonic Frontiers – November 8
It’s been five years since Sonic Forces, the last mainline Sonic the Hedgehog game. Sonic hasn’t had a celebrated mainline entry for much longer though. Team Sonic decided that they wanted to create something in the vein of the Sonic Adventure games, which are janky, but are arguably the last truly beloved mainline titles in the franchise. They’ve been fine tuning the controls for a long time, and decided to focus on an open world for Sonic to explore. Sonic Frontiers will be available for all consoles and PC.
2. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet – November 18
In almost every conceivable scenario, a new mainline Pokemon RPG would be the #1 game in our Top 5 Video Games Arriving in November 2022. It doesn’t sound like Game Freak is trying to innovate much at all with these newest Pokemon titles. For example, some of us wonder why they still insist on two titles for the same game, featuring incomplete monster rosters. One very interesting aspect of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is that some of the music was composed by Toby Fox, the creator of Undertale. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be Switch exclusives.
1. God of War Ragnarok – November 9
God of War Ragnarok is the Top Video Game Arriving in November 2022. It might be the Top Video Game Arriving in 2022. The last God of War game reinvented the franchise, and is one of the most important PlayStation exclusives. God of War Ragnarok is the direct story sequel to God of War, and will conclude the Norse mythology story. It’s pretty easy to predict, with the team from the last game being kept intact, that God of War Ragnarok will be a major contender for Game of the Year. Thankfully, God of War Ragnarok will be for PS4, in addition to PS5, because there are still lots of people who can’t find a PS5.
