Top 20 PS4 Exclusive Games for 2017
It is without a doubt that at E3 2016, Sony came out swinging with massive announcements, one after the other. The titles they showcased blew everybody away, so it’s no surprise that we find ourselves perched at the start of 2017 and as we look at the far reaching calendar ahead of us it is dotted, marked, circled, and underlined frequently with upcoming titles exclusive to the PS4. In fact, the odds that any one person is going to be able to play each of these titles and actually have time to fully enjoy the work that has gone into them is pretty slim, but the temptation to try is just too great when you take a closer look at what Sony has in store for us. Here are the top 20 upcoming PS4 exclusive games of 2017.
20. Pyre
Kicking off our list in a huge way is Supergiant Games latest title, Pyre. Crafted with unique, slick, eye-popping graphics, Pyre sees players control a team of exiles in a mystical purgatory-like setting as you travel across worlds, competing against teams of other exiles in strategic combat. The concept for this game sounds just as magical and beautiful as the footage looks. The concept that the player character and your fellow team mates are all exiles who simply want forgiveness and the chance to go back home. Pyre is a game that is going to pull you gently along for an emotional story and what looks to be some very fun combat, it’s going to be a title your friends will be talking about.

19. World of Warriors
This is a game I am far too excited for. World of Warriors has you take control of diminutive, pint-sized warriors from all parts of history and the world, and brings them together into some arena combat-esque battles with lovely cartoonish effects. Upgrading and enhancing your warriors is always going to be a big draw for the RPG fans and what we have seen in the trailers looks like some serious multiplayer fun with loads of options for creating your unique warriors. This could easily become a party game with a few friends, bludgeoning each other into the night as your tiny warriors hack and slash to victory. Originally released as a free game on Mobile devices, the PS4 version will surely bring some new and exciting features to the table.

18. Farpoint
Farpoint was a game we got to see previewed at E3 as a PSVR title and it is definitely one to keep your eye on. Set in the future, Farpoint will see players take the role of a scientist on an exploratory mission where they have landed on an uncharted planet in an uncharted system, only to discover some sort of life form. The trailer doesnt show us much, but from what we have learned, expect your most common enemies to be of the giant nasty arachnid variety. VR titles have been a bit lacking in length and story so far but Farpoint has the potential to be the start of a franchise for PSVR, so we can sit back with our fingers crossed that Farpoint will give us the same kind of sci-fi experience and story driven characters we have been craving since Mass Effect 3.

17. Nex Machina
Every so often a game comes out that reminds you of something familiar, something you enjoyed greatly but it can be tough to put a finger on it. Nex Machina is that game. The story sounds familiar: humans had robots readily available to complete every task for us and do our biding until they realized they didn’t need to serve us and they would be much better off without our silky meat bodies telling them what to do. The robots led an uprising and so a war for survival ensues. Nex Machina is also familiar in its very obvious arcade style feel, in fact if the Matrix movie came out in the 80’s and was turned into an arcade game, it would probably look like Nex Machina. That is, until you appreciate just how beautiful the game really is. The detail in the 3D models, the colors, the lighting, is all fantastic and it’s a shame you can’t really take a moment to appreciate it as Nex Machina requires you to be constantly on the move as armies of soulless machines come to try and blast you into oblivion. The trailer for Nex Machina makes this look like a bullet-hell shooter in every sense of the term and its going to be one hell of a ride.
