9. Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water
Fatal Frame makes its way to the Wii U, bringing with it a very creepy story. The game is filled with ghosts that you’ll need to capture with the Camera Obscura (by using the Wii U Gamepad like a camera in a relatively natural way). While the graphics feel a bit dated, the game is spooky as hell! Need more convincing? The Nintendo eShop has a pretty substantial trial available for download.
Halloween costume ideas: The Maiden of Black Water would be a good start; white dress, long black hair, and black tears streaking down her face. Eerie!
 8. Zen Pinball 2
A pinball game? Sure, perfect for those who love that constant pursuit of a high score! And Zen Pinball 2 has it’s share of tables perfect for the Halloween season. The Walking Dead (based on the Telltale game), Plants Vs Zombies, Paranormal and Sorcerer’s Lair will help set the mood.
Halloween costume ideas: How cute would it be to have a couple dress up as a Flipper and a Pinball?
7. Lone Survivor
Don’t let the nostalgic, pixel aesthetic fool you, this game draws you into a creepy, post-apocalyptic world and delivers a huge helping of scares. Those spooky creatures (Thinman) wondering the halls, shaking their heads will haunt you for days…
Halloween costume ideas: If you can continually shake your head all evening, you could dress up as those Thinman…
6. Minecraft: Wii U Edition
While this game is primarily designed for exploration and creating your own worlds, there’s no denying that it has its share of scary moments! The sudden realization that a Creeper is drawing near always gets the pulse racing (especially if it’s near your latest creation!). Then there are the Enderman; disproportionate limbs, drifting around at night, with that purple gaze… spooky!
Halloween costume ideas: Zombie Pigman, Witch, Creeper or Enderman are all great options for Minecraft fans!
