Ever 17: The Out of Infinity and Never 7: The End of Infinity are two visual novels from the early 2000s. They’re both genre classics, with gripping stories. But they are very slow games, even by modern visual novel standards. And, unfortunately, the translations are riddled with typos. Our reviewer wrote “narrative-heavy visual novels can’t afford to be unedited”. The Ever 17 and Never 7 Double Pack is too great of a slog to not be in the Bad section of The Three Best (and Worst) Video Games March 2025.
Suikoden I & II HD Remaster

Suikoden I & II are two of the best JRPGs of all time. They have engrossing stories, and addicting gameplay. Both games are easily in my personal top 30 games of all time. And our reviewer didn’t like them. Their thoughts can be summed up with the quote “I wish more mechanics had been modernized”. These games are a hard sell to modern gamers who don’t like going back to older games. It’s also difficult to review something well, if not enough is done to modernize it for the better. Suikoden I & II HD Remaster is the best game to ever appear in an article like the Bad section of The Three Best (and Worst) Video Games March 2025.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection

The Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection consists of 14 old Yu-Gi-Oh games! Our reviewer wrote “the card-based games appearing before 2001’s Eternal Duelist Soul feel like novelty inclusions. They are brutally mundane, and I legitimately can’t imagine anyone playing the earliest Gameboy games for more than five minutes. Bear in mind, those make up a third of the Early Days Collection.” These games just haven’t aged well. They’re just too simple. There’s no multiplayer or modernizing of mechanics. People who enjoy playing Yu-Gi-Oh cards won’t enjoy this collection. It only exists for people who want a modern way to play the original games. Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection is an obvious Bad section inclusion in The Three Best (and Worst) Video Games March 2025.
