First, a disclaimer. While we’re labelling these as the 3 worst launch maps from Black Ops 6, really, that’s just a way to get more clicks. The reality is, the folks at Treyarch have done a masterful job at designing the maps in Black Ops 6. These just happen to be a few maps that we’re less fond of. No hard feelings!
The Three Worst Launch Multiplayer Maps in Black Ops 6
3: Protocol
This island base was home to where we first learned how to handle the omnimovement in the tutorial. To be honest, we kind of wish it stayed in the tutorial. It does make for a solid Infected map though.
2: Lowtown
Lowtown is a map that just feels big, with all the different buildings, the verticality, and the accessible waterways. It’s clear a lot of effort went into this map, but it’s just too busy! And often, it can be a while before coming across your opponents. It might make for an okay 10v10 map.
1: Vorkuta
Okay, so remember earlier when I said “no hard feelings”? Okay, well, maybe that doesn’t apply to Vorkuta. This level is a confusing mess. There is just no flow to it. And it’s really hard to communicate with team members as there really aren’t any notable areas to call out, aside from the big gear in the middle. Plus it’s such a dreary looking map. This one is just not good.
Dishonourable Mentions: Scud, Red Card
And that’s our take on the three best, and three worst, multiplayer maps from the Black Ops 6 launch. Of course, map preference is a very subjective thing! Do you have a different opinion or ranking on these maps? Please let us know in the comments below or on social media.
