Lara Croft’s Top 5 Moments in Tomb Raider History

4 – Tomb Raider 3: Area 51 Is there anything that Lara Croft didn’t do in the earlier games? Not even Area 51 was off limits for her. If she needs an artifact, she is going to get it – regardless of where it is located. Lara discovers the secrets of alien life within Area 51, which includes a spacecraft (no big deal), and as would be expected Lara tries to sneak in. This is where the first artifact of the game is located and very soon after she enters, she is taken prisoner in the base. It goes without saying that her attempted break-in doesn’t really go according to plan. After Lara is able to free herself she is able to escape and sneak into a truck headed back into Area 51. She then makes her way to the spaceship to retrieve the artifact.

5 – Tomb Raider Definitive Edition: Becoming Lara Croft Trying to tell the origin story of one of the most famous female video game characters seemed like an impossible task. Especially in a world with the Uncharted series from Naughty Dog. But lucky for us Tomb Raider fans, this game went way beyond our expectations. From Lara’s lifelike facial features and hair to being able to travel with her from a young, shy girl to the beginnings of the Lara Croft we know and love. The story was immersive, the gameplay addicting and the game saw Lara go from meek to mighty in a hurry.

Bonus Round – Lara Croft: Tomb Raider Remember the live action Tomb Raider movie? This movie is by no means a masterpiece, however you cannot deny the fact that this is one of the better video game movies to be released. It had it all: big marketing campaign, big budget, Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft and Uwe Boll was nowhere in sight. Sure the plot made no sense, but my 15 year old self was happy to see my favorite video game heroine kicking ass (and running in slow motion).
