Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice was available for some hands-on time at Tokyo Game Show 2018, and we were able to spend 15 minutes with the highly anticipated title. Literally running to the PlayStation booth as the doors opened, we were lucky to have been just early enough to snag tickets to check out the title. After roughly two hours in line, we went hands-on with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and here are five things we saw that we are looking forward to when the game releases.
A New Challenge
Nowadays, FromSoftware is a developer seemingly synonymous with “hard” games such as Dark Souls and Bloodborne. Having beaten most of these titles (save for Dark Souls 3), I have been quite acclimated to the various challenges associated with the games. In my 15 minutes with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, I died a lot more than twice, and quickly came to realize that the game was a different beast in itself, one that required more patience than I displayed in the short time.
Patience is a Virtue
With only 15 minutes to play the demo, and having experienced previous FromSoftware games, I attempted to blaze my way through as much of the demo as I could. Unfortunately, trying to rush through the demo resulted in a countless number of deaths and not much progress overall. This definitely instilled a sense that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is not as forgiving as Bloodborne, and a bit more hectic than Dark Souls, resulting in a need for patience in the game.
