Upgrade Your Mechanical Companions
Along the way you will encounter robots who will join your party, the first being Ada. The following mission introduces a brain named Jezebel who requests that you construct it a body, and afterwards it will stick around your main establishment. There’s no point in spending resources to upgrade Jezebel because it doesn’t follow you into combat but rather lingers around your settlement. Jezebel’s real prize is that it can be assigned to a task. Your original robotic companions are fully upgradable as well, meaning Curie can be assigned new perks and you can turn Codsworth into T-1000 if you like — the internet is already blowing up with some impressive Codsworth builds. Sexy Codsworth, anyone?
Start Collecting Junk
It’s not cheap to build a robot, it requires many different pieces — if you were a junk hoarder before then it might just pay off here. For those who weren’t,; time to change your ways. Automatron introduces a new raider group called the Rust Devils who happen to have mechanical guards that drop the best junk required for your robot workbench. You can also travel to a vendor in Diamond City and purchase shipments of screws, ceramic, steel, rubber, and acrylic which are many of the required components for crafting.
