Mega Yarn Yoshi
An amiibo you can cuddle? That’s right! Inspired by Yoshi’s Woolly World comes Mega Yarn Yoshi, a large knitted Yoshi that’s equal parts cuddly and useful. While he might not look like the other amiibo, he still had an NFC chip in his boot allowing him to function like the other amiibo.
Resetti
Many of the characters from the Animal Crossing series have been turned into amiibo, thanks in part to the board game inspired video game Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival. However, many Animal Crossing fans will agree that the real star is Resetti who has been keeping players in-line since the original Animal Crossing. Always remember to save your game!
Poochy
Poochy was released to coincide with the 3DS version of Yoshi’s Woolly World. Like the other 4 Yoshi variants released for Yoshi’s Woolly World, this one is also knitted, which makes them stand out among the vast collection of amiibo. Who wouldn’t want an amiibo based on Yoshi’s loveable and loyal puppy, Poochy?
Wolf Link
Originally available exclusively with the Wii U release of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, this Wolf Link amiibo is definitely one of the coolest looking amiibo released to date. Even better, gamers who used this amiibo in Twilight Princess could call on Wolf Link for some much-needed support in Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – which also makes this one of the most useful amiibo too!
Ryu
The legendary Street Fighter Ryu made his Smash Bros. debut in Super Smash Bros. Let’s face it, Ryu always looks like he’s ready to kick ass, and his amiibo pose is no different. It’s a shame more Street Fighter characters didn’t make the jump to Smash Bros. because I’d love to have a Chun-Li amiibo!
R.O.B. Famicom Colors
Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto! R.O.B. was originally an accessory for the Nintendo Entertainment System but has recently seen a bit of a resurgence with its inclusion in the Smash Bros. series. This particular variant of R.O.B. gives it a paint job that matches the Japanese version of the NES, the Famicom!
