Embark On an Epic Journey in Revenge of the Firstborn
Revenge of the Firstborn is looking better than ever. Sawtooth Games has rolled out a major visual upgrade for its tactical, party-based RPG for Steam Party-Based RPG Fest 2026, giving players a fresh reason to jump into its newly updated demo.
Running from September 14 to 21, the festival gives RPG fans a chance to check out the latest version of Revenge of the Firstborn, which blends classical tabletop-inspired mechanics with turn-based combat, dungeon crawling, character customization, and story-driven exploration.

The biggest changes come on the visual side. The updated demo features refreshed UI screens, enhanced spell effects, and improved lighting across the game’s dungeons and interiors. Torches and other light sources now interact more naturally with their surroundings, making dark corridors and ancient locations feel considerably more atmospheric.
The environments are also more reactive thanks to new physics effects. Grass now moves as party members walk through it, adding a subtle but satisfying layer of life to the world.
Beyond the visual improvements, players can dive into tactical turn-based battles, build and customize their party, take on quests, and explore dungeons inspired by classic tabletop RPG adventures.
The upgraded demo is available now on Steam during the festival, giving fans a chance to see how far the game has come.
For fans who miss the old-school party RPG experience, Revenge of the Firstborn could be one to keep an eye on as development continues.
