Argonaut Games Announces Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos

Argonaut Remasters The Gobbos 

It’s always a great thing to see a game get a remaster. It’s even better when that remaster is a beloved sequel to a classic game. Importantly, the fact that the game contains an equally beloved Croc as the main character doesn’t hurt a bit. Today, Argonaut Games is happy to announce that Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos is currently in development. A remastered sequel to the beloved game Croc 2, this version reinstates the name used in the original development. Interestingly, this game includes the hit story alongside classic Croc moves across open-ended platforming levels. A press release provides more details. 

Croc 2 Kingdom of Gobos places players back in the role of the titular character: Croc. However, in this game Croc heads to the mainland in search of his long-lost parents. Yet, he finds his arch-enemy Baron Dante has been resurrected and hunting him for vengeance. Players will need to platform, tailspin, and use more of Croc’s classic arsenal to overcome the Baron and his roster of Guardians. Yet, players will also have access to all new moves like triple-jumping, as they cross over forty levels of open-ended platforming.

Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos is now in development for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, XBOX Series X, XBOX Series S, and Windows PC on Steam and GOG.com. Argonaut Games plans to release the game in late 2026. Of course, more information will come out later in development.
