Survive the Waves of Enemies in D.O.T. Defence
Rattleaxe Games has officially released the free demo for D.O.T. Defence on Steam, giving players an early chance to experience its unique blend of real-time strategy, tower defense, and autobattler gameplay.
D.O.T. Defence focuses on fast-paced strategy without overwhelming players with complex mechanics. Instead of managing an intricate economy, you’ll build and upgrade towers that automatically produce armies to defend your headquarters while launching attacks on enemy forces. Each match is designed to last between five and ten minutes, making it easy to jump in for a quick session while still offering plenty of tactical decision-making.

The game’s primary objective is straightforward: defend your HQ while destroying your opponent’s base. Behind its simple premise, however, lies a surprising amount of strategic depth. Players can carefully choose tower placements, upgrade paths, and light battlefield commands to gain the upper hand as massive automated battles unfold across the map.
According to the developers, D.O.T. Defence first began as a local multiplayer game jam project before evolving into a larger experience with single-player content and AI-controlled opponents. One of its biggest highlights is the large-scale battles, which the team describes as both exciting to play and mesmerizing to watch thanks to the game’s vibrant visual presentation.
Rattleaxe Games also designed D.O.T. Defence with controller support in mind, aiming to make the strategy experience feel intuitive whether you’re playing with a gamepad or a mouse.
If you’re looking for a strategy game that combines quick matches with satisfying large-scale battles, the D.O.T. Defence demo is well worth checking out.
